Leaving employment and account closure

Access PayWise+ procedures for account closure, payouts, and system permission changes when employment ends.

Access PayWise+ savings accounts cannot remain open once employment ends. The account will automatically close after your employer updates your employment status in the system.

Account closure process

When the account closes:

  • Your remaining balance will be returned to you.

  • Interest is calculated up to your final day of employment and included in the payout.

  • If you can still sign in to Access PayWise+ at the time your employer updates your status, you can request your funds directly.

  • If your sign‑in permissions have already been removed, the system will automatically send your remaining balance once it recognises your employment has ended.

📌Note: The timing of your payment depends on how quickly your employer updates your employment status.

Suspension or termination

If your employer suspends or terminates you in Access PayWise+ (either manually or through an HR system integration):

  • Your sign‑in permissions for Access PayWise+ are removed immediately.

  • You will no longer be able to log in or request your funds.

  • The system will automatically return your remaining balance once it confirms that your employment has ended.

📌Note: Permissions are removed at the point your employer updates your record.
